AK Khan launches portal for Urdu posts

The Government of Telangana in Minorities Welfare Department has sanctioned 66 Special Category Posts of Urdu Officers viz. (6) Posts of Urdu Officers Grade-I and (60) posts of Urdu Officers Grade to cater to the linguistic needs of the local people in administration. These posts are further allocated as follows

Collector & District Magistrate 31 General Administration Department 4 Minorities Welfare Department 1 DGP 1  Commissioner of Police 1 Telangana State Urdu Academy 1 total 66 posts.

For the posts of Urdu Officer Grade I, the qualification prescribed is Post-Graduation; Graduation either with Urdu as a medium of instruction or Urdu as one of the subjects; and S.S.C. with Telugu as a second language. For the posts of Urdu officer Grade-II, the qualification prescribed is Graduation either with Urdu as a medium of instruction or Urdu as one of the subjects; and S.S.C. with Telugu as a second language. The age should be between 21 years and 44 years.

The process of recruitment has been entrusted to T S Urdu Academy which is recruiting with the technical support of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH). The notification has already been issued and made public on 28-03-2018, on the website www.tsua.in The notification carries all the details such as, educational qualifications, age, syllabus, scheme of examination, etc.

02-04-2018 is the commencement of the date of submission of online applications and 23-04-2018 is the last date for submission of online applications. 20-05-2018 is the date of examination. Hyderabad would be the centre for examination.

The application fee for Urdu Officers Grade-1 is Rs. 600 and Rs 500 for Urdu Officers Grade-2.
