BC leaders told to form panel to celebrate Phule birth anniversary

​Vikarabad: District Collector Sayyed Omar Jallel has called upon BC association leaders to take steps to celebrate the 192nd Jayanti on grand scale on April 11 at Ambedkar Bhavan here and agreed to release Rs 50,000 for the celebrations. 

In a meeting held here on Tuesday, he asked the BC association leaders to form into a committee to celebrate the event and coordinate with officials to make the event a grand success. 

He directed them to identify suitable site for installing Jyotiba Phule idol in the town. Local legislator Sanjeeva Rao agreed to release Rs 10 lakh for the BC Association Building if the district collector allots suitable site for it. 

Zilla Grandhalaya Society Chairman Kondal Reddy, local MPP Bhagyalakshmi and others spoke. BC welfare officer Pushpalata, Tahsildar Chinnappalanaidu, local MPDO Sattaiah, leaders of various BC association and others took part.
