KTR launches development works costing `125 cr

Kapra: Municipal Administration and IT Minister K Tarakarama Rao on Sunday launched several development works in the Kapra circle costing Rs.125 crore.  

The works for which KRT laid the foundation  include seven road expansion and building of roads. The three km Kushaiguda-Ghatkesar road is to be expanded/repaired. He inaugurated three drinking water reservoirs built at a cost of Rs.10.98 crore. They include one, with a capacity of seven million litre,  near Sainikpuri, costing Rs.4.64 crore. This will provide improved water supply to about 32,000 people.

The other reservoir, also with a capacity of seven million litres, costs Rs.4.89 crore. It will provide water supply, through 4,000 taps, benefitting 26,500 residents. The minister launched 600 mm sewerage line work in the Housing Board Colony Phase-I being taken up at  a cost of Rs.3.5 crore. The 21 km-long line, up to Rajarajeswari-Krishnanagar Nala, will benefit 38,956 residents of Krishnagar, Mangapuram, Indiranagar, Lakshminagar and Diamond Hill Colony. 

Among those present at inaugurations included Minister P Mahender  Reddy, City Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, MP Malla Reddy, Collector M V Reddy, MLC K Janardhan Reddy, MLA N  V S S Prabhakar.
