Chukka Ramaiah reiterates demand to change Eamcet format
Musheerabad: Noted educationist Chukka Ramaiah has observed that students are under a lot of mental stress on account of rote learning and lamented that state government and Eamcet officials are changing the question paper model in spite of his repeated requests to them during the past 10 years.
He urged them to at least now change the model. He expressed concern over students undergoing agony on account of leak of question papers of national level tests.
He was participating in the model Eamcet along with OU Registrar Gopal Reddy conducted by the Students Federation ofIndia at a private college in Nallakunta on Thursday. He appreciated the gesture of the SFI in conducting the model test. He appealed to governments – state as well as central – to conduct tests in a foolproof manner.
The registrar said that such model tests are highly useful to rural students. He congratulated the SFI for conduct of the model examination. SFI state unit president Nageswar Rao said at least 20,000 studetns are taking the test across the state. SFI state secretary Kota Ramesh and SFI activists Shruti, Ashok Reddy, Venu and others took part.
