TUWJ holds rally, seeks strong action against J&K rapists

Kapra: The Medchal district unit of the Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) on Monday organised a protest rally from the Kapra circle to ECIL Cross roads demanding stringent action against those involved in the rape-murder of a minor in J&K.

Among the participants were MP Malla Reddy, Uppal constituency Congress Party in-charge Bandari Lakshma Reddy, TUWJ State general secretary Varahat Ali, Medchal district unit president Venkat Reddy, secretary Balaraju, senior journalist Mallayya, organising secretary Ashok, EC member Ramesh, Dhanpal Reddy. Representatives of various political parties, activists, women and students also took part.

Those who took part in the rally included Golluri Anjaiah, Vanjari Praveen, Singireddy Somasekharayya, TRS leaders Kotha Rama Rao, Balraj, Murali, Panthulu, Anumula Narsimha Reddy, CPI(M) activist Venkat, TNSF’s Sharath, Asif, Satya Prasad.
Addressing the participants, Varahat Ali, while demanding strong action against the culprits, expressed concern over the increasing incidents of rapes in the country. He wanted persons involved in criminal activities should not be given tickets to contest as MPs and MLAs.
