Socialist party raise doubts over safety of women

Somajiguda: The Socialist Party (India) Telangana state criticised the present condition of desperateness on one end and impurity on the other, as an outfall of a systemic failure of not allowing law to take its course fairly, on the perpetrators of terror, crime and hate.

Jaya Vindhayal, Chairman-legal cell of Socialist Party (India) Telangana state said that the BJP National President promptly suspended the MLA involved in raping the Unnao minor and issued show case notices asking explantion from MLAs, involved in protesting chargesheet of accused in Kathua girl-child case. She said that as the Kathua heinous crime had strong communal tones as well as class belligerence, government of India should bring in police and rules that allow it to take action against such acts.

She demanded that the government of India, government of Uttar Pradesh, government of J&K and all the States governments much declare their action plan so that such crimes and assaults on women ‘Never happen again’. Jaya Vindhayal applied that the Unnao survivor be given full security, promptly given psycho-social support and counselling so that no extreme step is taken by survivor, also she should be assured by giving a government job and all educational support.

Lubna Sarwath, General Secretary of Socialist Party (India) Telangana state said that the government of India and NIA Telangana appeal against the Mecca Masjid blast verdict. Government of Telangana to write to government of India to appeal against the NIA court orders of 16 appeal for acquitting all accused. She also added that the rule of law and trust of people in law and courts has to be restored.
