Residents fume over water stagnation, damaged roads
Chandanagar: Though there are many representations to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials regarding the stagnation of water and damaged roads at Kakatiya Hills in Chandanagar division, no official has taken action to repair the roads. The residents and commuters of the area are facing water logging problem for more than three months.
Corporator Navatha Reddy said, “The road No 4 Kakatiya Hills’ road repairing work is started but the contractors are yet to turn up. Almost all materials have procured and once it is finalised the work will be done in a proper manner. The work will be done without compromising on quality and soon the commuters of Kakatiya Hills residents will not have any issues further”.
Electrical Engineer Venkateshwar said, “The road work is delayed due to pending of house service connections of sewerage lines to trunk line. Now the CC roads will be taking up and the work will be completed soon. Laying and the wet mix are also done, after finalisation of agency the work will be taken up.”
Abhilash a resident of Kakatiya Hills of Madhapur said, “We have complained several times about the pathetic roads in Kakatiya Hills road No 4 the work was started in August 2017 and two months back we were told that it is tender process but there is no progress. Though the officials said that the work will be completed before rainy season but yet there is no change found in the roads.”
