Coucillor seeks action over illegal constructions in Tandur

Tandur: Municipal Councillor Aravind Kumar questioned the Commissioner Bhogiswarlu about the action which was taken against the illegal constructions in Tandur, here on Friday. Speaking at the municipal office, the councillor said the illegal constructions were rampant in the town and officials were turning blind eye. He said officials have not taken appropriate action despite lodging several complaints. He demanded an explanation for the people. 

The councillor said an old building was demolished and a new shopping complex was constructed without any permission. "I have been complaining about the illegal construction right from the foundation level. But no action was initiated. And officers are silent even though constructions without permissions are going unabated in Survey No 3," the councillor said. Citing the incident of demolishing a shed constructed by person belonged to NGO, the councillor questioned why officials were so discriminating.
