First white-topping road in Old City

Hyderabad: In Riyasath Nagar division Mirza Saleem Baig, Phisalbanda area corporator, along with Hafiz Patel, representative corporator Barkas division, on Tuesday conducted a joint inspection of a model of white-topping road, a first in Old City, with underground cable, drain works and two meters of footpath.

The white road from Rakshapuram to Habeeb Nagar was being build at a cost of Rs 5.9 crore.

The other white topping roads in Hyderabad are Banjara Hills Road no 1, Sindhi Colony Secunderabad, Tarapur Junction Erramanzil, and it’s a first in old city.   

On the successful representation by Akbaruddin Owaisi, MLA Chandrayangutta, for a white topping road, a joint Inspection of the site was conducted.

All the departments were asked to co-ordinate their work together and to make sure the work was completed at the earliest. 

Later, the officials inspected the road widening sites under Barkas division. The Zonal Commissioner instructed the officials to make sure the remaining properties were acquired at the earliest and the road was laid.

Ravi Kiran, zonal commissioner south zone, Santosh Kumar, ACP town planning, Md Imran, AD Electricity Department, Horticulture Department and GHMC Officials were present.
