Free medical camp held at Riyasath Nagar

Riyasathnagar:  As part of awareness programme on vector-borne diseases due to mosquitoes, a free medical camp was held in Milad community hall in Riyasath Nagar on Friday. Organised by a team of UPHC doctors in coordination with Entomology Department of GHMC, free check up, free medicine and 51 free tests including  blood, urine, sugar, thyroid tests were conducted in Rakshapuram UPHC centre. 
  
Doctors requested residents to utilize the free services not just during the free camp and also at the Rakhshapuram UPHC center during normal days. Dr Laxman medical officer as part of awareness programme on vector-borne diseases due to mosquitoes asked the residents to keep clean their premises and not to allow water get stored in their vicinity to avoid any chance of mosquito-breeding grounds. 

He recommended that residents to empty their containers at least once in a week to avoid possibility of catching vector borne diseases. Mirza Mustafa Baig, corporator, Dr Jyothi senior public health officer and team of UPHC and Entomology were present.
