KCRs Bangaru Bonam to be made without use of machinery: Manepally Jewellers
General Bazaar: The Bangaru Bonam that is to be offered to Ujjaini Mahankali temple by the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is being completely handcrafted without the use of machines. Manepally Jewellers bagged the job on an online tender. Gopi Krishna Manepally said, “We have set aside special workers who are the best in the industry to do the intricate design.
1. Ujjaini Mahankali temple handed over 3,080 grams gold after testing it comprised 79% gold and is of 2,646 grams in 22 carat gold.
2. The value of Bangaru Bonam is Rs 90 lakh

There is no machinery involved in the process and the ornamentation includes flowers, mangoes, creepers and swan.” The Manepally family recently donated five kg silver to the temple. The authorities are planning to deck the walls of garba gudi, the innermost shrine with silver. Gopi Krishna says, “As a child, I remember going to the temple and played there for hours and would wait for the prasadam. It tasted divine and still does. Our family has been associated with the temple for decades and we are overwhelmed to be part of the preparation of Bangaru Bonam.”
