Kummari Sangham presents first Bonam to Katta Maisamma
Musheerabad: Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy on Sunday said that Chief Minister K Chandra Shekar Rao released Rs 15 crore to celebrate Bonalu in a big way. He participated in first Bonam presentation to Katta Maisamma Temple organised by Rambabu, the chairman of Bonalu Committee to Telangana Kummari Sangham at Tank Bund.
The minister said that the government was committed to the overall development of the State. Most Backward Classes (MBC) Corporation chairman Taduri Srinivas said that he would strive hard to appoint members from the potters’ community as priests in temples of rural deities. He said that they presented 501 Bonalu in clay pots as first Bonam to the deity. BJP state president and local legislator Dr K Laxman, corporators V Srinivas Reddy, Lasya Nandita and Padma Naresh, Telangana Kummari Sangham president Jayanthi Rao, secretaries Raju Mohan and Bhikshapathi took part.
