TPTF calls for pvt schools bandh on Wednesday
Somajiguda: Demanding legal validity to their jobs, Telangana Private Teachers Forum (TPTF) representatives on Sunday called Statewide private schools bandh scheduled on July 18. They released bandh poster here at Press Club.
The other demands include – implementation of GO MS No1, 1994 in private schools; sanction of health card and accident insurance of Rs five lakh; payment of 12 months basic pay through banks; extending ESI and PF facilities; establishment of private teachers welfare board; pension of Rs 5,000 to every teacher who crossed 50 years of age; right to vote for teachers in MLC elections; scrap of property tax on school buildings; conversion of electricity charges from commercial to domestic slab in schools; implementation of compulsory education act and fee reimbursement scheme to poor students; bringing fee control act; government incentives to low-budget schools.
The leaders appealed managements of private schools and others to make the bandh a success. TPTF state committee leaders Srikanth, Pavan Kumar Goud, Srinivas Goud, Raj Kumar, Venkat, Papa Rao were present.
