Private school teachers call for bandh in Telangana

Update: 2018-07-17 15:36 IST

In the wake of a state-wide private school bandh call given by Telangana Private Teachers Forum (TPTF), private schools across the state are likely to remain without teachers on Wednesday.

The bandh has been called in demand of implementation of GO MS No1, 1994, in private schools along with the sanction of health cards with accident insurance for the teachers.

According to the forum, the protest will see participation from about 12,000 schools including the ones under Indian Certificate of Secondary Education, Central Board of Secondary Education and other boards across Telangana.

Teachers employed in private institutions stated that the government needs to set up a welfare board to address their concerns particularly when they have no job security.
