Osmania General Hospital gets new luggage trolley, wheel chairs
Hyderabad: Health Care NGO, Helping Hand Foundation (HHF) has donated five luggage & garbage trolleys and five wheel chairs to OGH.
OGH had a dearth of trolleys to transport medicines, laundry and garbage and in absence of adequate transportation equipment, wheel chairs and stretchers were used by ward boys that often resulted in shortage.
This equipment will release the pressure on the wheel chairs and stretchers which will now be leveraged optimally for the patients and improve the mobility within the hospital said Dr B Nagender, Superintendent of Osmania General Hospital.
The stainless-steel luggage trolleys will help the sanitation staff to clear the laundry and transport it to the washing area with ease and the 4 x 4 garbage trolleys will ease the pressure on staff of transporting the waste to the designated places faster.
The wheel chairs will augment the existing pool and will be aligned in the OPD area for the benefit of the patient by the mobile volunteers of the NGO.
HHF managing trustee Mujtaba Hasan Askari said, “We are pleased to collaborate with OGH and other large government hospitals in doing our bit to improve hygiene and sanitation and this is a small step in this direction
The superintendent thanked the HHF staff who was present to hand over the equipment in the old building in a brief function that took place in the presence of RMOs and NGO volunteers.
