155 Vidya volunteers appointed in Basheerabad mandal

Vikarabad: At last the efforts to put back the derailed academic year on the rails has begun with the appointment of vidya volunteers in Basheerabad, Peddemul, Tandur and Yalal mandals on Tuesday.  Basheerabad Mandal Parishad president Karuna on Tuesday gave appointment ordes to over 155 educational volunteers. There are 109 vacancies in primary schools and 54 vacancies in Zilla Parishad High Schools in the mandal. But the government sanctioned only 155z. 

Mandal education officer Narsing Rao filled the posts and asked the volunteers to work in such a way to improve educational standards of the government schools. The academic activity at government schools suffered for over a month on account of teacher transfers and asked the teachers and vidya volunteers to resume the activity in full swing. He asked the volunteers to work with a service attitude. 

Further, he advised the volunteers to ensure that the students plant more saplings on the school campues and nurse them properly. Mandal PRTC president Ravi Kant, teachers Umesh Kumar, Narsimha Reddy, Vithal Goud, Nagaraju and others took part in the programme. In Peddemul mandal, over 90 volunteers were appointed, while 79 were appointed in Tandur mandal. In Yalala mandal, about 20 vidya volunteers were appointed.
