NPRD demands pension hike for differently-abled

Kapra: Vikalangalu Hakkula Jaatiya Vedika (NPRD) state general secretary M Adivaiah on Thursday said that they were going to lay siege collectorates in the State on August 27, demanding pension hike. He was addressing NPRD Medchal district (Kamala Nagar) Committee meeting here at NVB Bhavan. He said that with rise in the prices of essential commodities, the pension to disabled persons should be hiked from Rs 1,500 to Rs 5,000.

The other demands include five per cent quota in welfare schemes, six per cent quota in jobs, sanction of 2BHK houses, implementation of 2016 RPD Act, setup of ramps at Government offices, sanction of bus passes in metro buses under Greater Hyderabad limits, financial aid of Rs 5 Lakh with 80 per cent subsidy, community hall in every district head quarters. 

NPRD district president A Ranga Reddy, advisor P Venkat, general secretary K Venkat, office bearers P Nagalakshmi, Chandramohan, Mallesh, leaders Ramesh, Brahmaiah, Lakhmipathi were present.
