Preparations for Kanti Velugu camps underway: Collector Yogita Rana
Hyderabad: District Collector Yogita Rana said that arrangements are underway to conduct at least 92 Kanti Velugu medical camps simultaneously at various parts of the district. The camps will be held in 84 wards of the GHMC and 8 wards of the Cantonment area.
Addressing medical officers at King Kothi hospital here, she said that the medical camps will be held from Monday to Friday. She called upon officials to make the Chief Minister’s pet programme a grand success and extend Kanti Velugu services to all families. The programme will be held for six months to cover all deserving cases. The camps can treat a maximum of 480 and a minimum of 300 per day.
Medical officers, ophthalmic assistants and data entry operators 98 each have been appointed. Additional staff members have been kept in the reserve to conduct the camps without any interruption. DMHO Dr Venkati, Kanti Velugu district Coordinator Dr Nagarjuna and others took part in the programme.
