Telugu States urged to encourage cooperative societies
Musheerabad: Mudra Agricultural Skill Development Multinational Cooperative Society chairman Ramdas requested Telugu states to encourage cooperative societies. He was speaking at the training session given to 30 employees of Mudra bank on management of cooperative societies.
Later, Ramdas felicitated Veerabrahmaiah, commissioner Mudra, for his efforts to strengthen the cooperative societies in the region. Speaking at the press meet held after the session, Ramdas expressed his happiness that the Central government-run society has appreciated their services. He advised the governments to ban intermediary system to help farmers.
Government should facilitate farmers to sell their produce with the help of cooperative societies, he said. A letter has been written to the Central Home Minister to give national project status to Kaleshwaram Project being constructed by Telangana government and help Andhra Pradesh govt by providing the required funds for completion of Polavaram project, he said. He was of the opinion that farmers could reap profits only when the cooperative societies were strengthened.
