Children’s day out at Book Fair
This year, the organisers of the Hyderabad Book Fair have set up various programmes like singing, dance, painting and more competitions for children at the Sangem Laxmi Bhai venue from 2pm onwards every day.
Titled as ‘Balavikas,’ every day, more than 100 children from all over the city have been indulging in these activities. On Monday, many children were seen participating in group dances and singing competitions. The organisers are also distributed participation certificates for the children. K Chandra Mohan, Secretary, Hyderabad Book Fair, said, “We wanted to entertain kids in this year’s book fair and have come up with activities like singing, dancing and more. Playing and participating in various events here helps the kids to know more about the book fair.
The main aim of the Balavikas is to keep the children active and happy by reducing the stress in them, towards their development. I hope this activity helps to bring out natural talent and to increase confidence among children”. Apart from the Balavikas activities, the visitors count was turned a little low compared to the first two days due to the foggy weather. Many visitors feared of one heavy rain spoils the party mood of the book lovers and hopes that it wouldn’t happen.
