Woman athlete seeks govt aid

Nalgonda: National athletic player Vadde Navya of Chekatigudem of Ketepally mandal, who participated in several national competitions from united AP and Telangana met Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at the helipad with the help of MLA Vemula Veeresham.

She explained her track record and showed the certificates and medals which she won in different competitions. She urged the Chief Minister to provide financial aid and also a government job, and held her create more records in the selected field. Responding to Navya’s plea, the Chief Minister directed the District Collector Gaurav Uppal to send a detailed report with regard to Navya for future course of action.

Speaking to The Hans India, Navya informed that her father is a farmer and owns only half acre of land. She informed that with the encouragement from her Physical Education Teacher Hanumanth Rao during her school studies at ZPHS Ketepally, she achieved few milestones as an athlete and got opportunities to participate in national and international championships.
