Makthal police arrests fake doctors

Mahbubnagar: The Makthal police arrested two fake doctors who duped a poor patient from Gudigandal village of Makthal mandal on Tuesday. According to the victim Suraiah, two persons Vijay lingappa and Beer Anjappa who came from Karnataka State and set up their shop in Makthal and duping gullible patients by claiming as doctors and prescribing some fake medicines to cure incurable disease and taking huge sums of money from them.
  
In this incident, the duo met Suraiah, who is having his 14-year-old son Hanumanthu retarded with polio virus. Taking advantage of the poor patient’s disability and his father’s urge to get his son cured by any means, they promised Suraiah, that they have the cure for his son’s disease, however for that they demanded him to pay an amount of Rs 35,000. The poor Suraiah who believed the fake doctors borrowed the money from his neighbours and paid them.

Later, the duo gave some fake medicine and asked him to administer the same to his son for one month and promised that his son will be cured. However, after administering the medicine given by the fake doctors for one month, they found not cure for the disease. When Suraiah tried to contact them they have already left the spot. Realising that they were duped by the fake doctors, a case was filed in Makthal police station.  

The police, who swung into action, found the fake doctors who were roaming around Makthal bus stand, and took both the fake doctors into custody and investigating the matter. They recovered the money and gave it back to the victims. 

The Makthal police have urged the people not believe unknown people and asked them to intimate the police immediately if any such fraudsters are fooling the people of false promise.
