Newly-appointed constables told to become tech-savvy

Khammam: Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal here on Monday advised police personnel to develop leadership skills that would help them render better services to people. The Commissioner chaired a meeting with about 219 constables, who were recruited after completion of nine months of training at Hyderabad, here at Commissionerate in Khammam on Monday.

Addressing the newly-appointed constables, Tafseer Iqbal said candidates who completed their higher education like M.Tech, M.S and M.Pharmacy opted to be constables in police department and they strive for rendering better services to people. “Hope all newly-appointed candidates will continue the good work by maintaining healthy relationships with the public besides strengthening the department,” he said. 

“In a democratic country like India, the primary duty of the police is to protect peoples’ rights,” he said, adding that newly-appointed police personnel must develop technical skills for solving cases at a faster pace and render justice to victims. 

Around 70 civil constables, 116 Armed Reserve constables and 33 women constables reported at the Commissionerate on the day. Additional DCP K Suresh Kumar, CAR Assistant Commissioner of Police Venkateshwarlu and Vijay Babu and Inspectors Srinivas and Ravi and RSI Meera were present along with others.
