Rythu Bandhu aims to rescue farmers from distress: MLC
Ramannapet(Yadadri-Bhongir): MLC PRajeshwar Reddy has said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao launched the Rythu Bandh scheme to strengthen the farm sector and bail the farmers out of distress.
Rajeshwar Reddy along with local MLA Vemula Veeresham distributed Rythu Bandhu cheques and Pattadar passbooks to farmers in Vellaknki and Servenigudem under Ramannapet mandal in Yadadri- Bhongir district. They distributed cheques worth Rs 2,07,04,240 to 1617 farmers.
Rajeshwar Reddy said Telangana was the only State in the country, which ensured 24-hour free power supply to farmers. Apart from constructing irrigation projets, a total of 46,000 village tanks were revived under Mission Kakatiya.
These initiatives had significantly improved the agriculture productivity, he added. District Rythu Samanvaya Samithi district coordinator K Amarender, MPP KYellamma, ZPTC JVasantha, Sarpanches N Swapa, N Narsimha, local TRS leaders and farmers participated in the programme.
