Manda Krishna condemns ban on Kathi Mahesh
Controversial film critic Kathi Mahesh is facing the heat for passing highly insulting comments on Lord Ram as has been externed from Hyderabad for six months. He has been handed over to Andhra Pradesh police, who will shift him to his native place of Chittoor.
Condemning the six-month ban on Kathi Mahesh, Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) chief, Manda Krishna Madiga agreed with Director General of Police (DGP), Mahender Reddy that freedom of expression does not mean hurting others.
However, he said that it applies to everyone and not just Dalits.
Citing an example of Paripurananda criticising Shirdi Sai Baba, Manda Krishna said that Sai Baba's devotees were hurt by this action, but no action was taken against him.
He further demanded that the ban against Kathi Mahesh be withdrawn.
