Hyderbad: 1 held for manufacturing whisky chocolates

A man was arrested on Friday from Asif Nagar for manufacturing liquor chocolates and selling them to companies by the Excise sleuths

P. Pradeep Kumar (36) entered the business two years ago on learning its demand in the market. He started manufacturing them at his home in Gayathri Nagar with key ingredients whisky and cocoa powder. The accused them sold them to the car companies who would give the chocolates to their employees as a token of appreciation.

The officials learned about the production of chocolates after the accused put up an advertisement on Indiamart website a few days ago.

They arrested the accused under Section 34(A) of Telangana Excise Act and seized 2 kg of whisky liquor chocolates and 10 kg of cocoa powder, essence bottles and other material. The accused earlier involved in the manufacture and sale of plastic bags.
