CM to lay foundation stone for Godavari Penna Rivers linking

 Amaravati: Today, we are going to witness another historical milestone in interlinking Rivers in the State by laying foundation stone to the Godavari and Penna Rivers, observed Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu during a teleconference on Neeru Pragathi on Monday. 

Chief Minister scheduled to participate in the programme today at Nakarikallu in Guntur District. 

Stating that already we have became first State in the country to interlink Rivers by bringing Godavari waters to Krishna River, Chandrababu Naidu observed that this project will going to be another achievement of TDP government. 

He informed that the State government aimed to interlink all the five major Rivers in the State so as to provide adequate water supply to the farmers in the State during 365 days of any given year. That would increase productivity tremendously.
