Srikakulam: Aurabindo pharmaceutical company management exploiting its workers by paying meager salaries to them alleged CITU state vice president, Duppala Govinda Rao. Aurabindo workers observed half naked agitation under the aegis of CITU in front of the company out gate on Thursday at Pydibhimavaram. Speaking on the occasion CITU state vice president said company management has been neglecting its workers demands for the last one year and not paying minimum wages.
Company management out rightly polluting water, soil and air here with its emissions but not allotted funds for development of all 12 affected villages in Ranastalam mandal CITU state vice president, Duppala Govinda Rao lamented. The company also not allotting funds under corporate social responsibility for development works he alleged.
Even qualified local youth also denied jobs in the company and contract workers also have no job security he explained. To solve all the issues the company workers will observe one day long strike on 11 December to mount pressure on the management he explained. CITU division leader, P.Tejeswara Rao, Aurabindo company workers union leaders, S.Appala Raju, K.Sankara Rao and others attended.
