Phethai is third consecutive severe cyclone this year
Amaravati: The severe cyclone Phethai is the third consecutive cyclone in this year in Andhra Pradesh. The first one was Titli and next the Gaza and now Phethai.
Public from Srikakulam district suffered a lot when the Titli hit the coast between AP and Odisha coasts. The government estimated loss of property worth around Rs 5000 crore.
When the Gaza hit, the AP escaped narrowly and it was moved towards Tamilnadu. Though predicted heavy rainfall and wind, the state received moderate rainfall only.
Now, the public and government authorities are more worried about the Phethai, since it is going hit the standing crops at the various districts across the state.
The predicted land fall will be very much high and the wind also will be more than 70 to 80 kms per hour.
This Phethai is expected to cross the land between Kakinada and Tuni.
