Rs 200 crores allocated for Anna canteens in the budget- Rajampet MLA

Kadapa: Rajampet MLA  and government whip M.Mallikarjuna Reddy said that the state government has allocated Rs 200 crores for Anna Canteens in the current budget.  Speaking after inaugurating Anna canteen in Rajampet town on Monday he said despite state is facing serious financial crises but keen on continuing the scheme in the interest of facilitating quality food to the poor people. He said AP is the only state entire the country providing food just for Rs 5 by bearing Rs 70 on each meal. He said chief minister has accepted his proposal for establishing 3 Anna canteens like Ontimitta, T.Sundupalli, Nandaluru in Rajampet constituency.

He said there are about Rs 100 crores various developmental works like construction of roads, houses, drainage, compound walls to the schools etc as the chief minister is keen on development of Rajampet constituency. Party leaders were present.
