More focus on rural infra development
Kadapa: Rajampet MLA and Government Whip Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy said the state government is giving top priority for the development of rural infrastructure. The Government Whip inaugurated several developmental works while participating in the ongoing Grama Darshini programme in Nandalur mandal.
Addressing the gathering at Thotapalem village, Meda said even though the government is facing financial crisis but allocating adequate funds for the development of the infrastructure in villages.
He stated the main purpose of Grama Darshini is to bring awareness among the public over the welfare schemes and development works taken up by the government in the last four years. He enlisted the government welfare schemes for various sections of the society.
Earlier, the Government Whip inaugurated additional classrooms in Government Intermediate College, construction of dividers from national highway to railway station, and laid foundation for the construction of Cement Concrete (CC) roads in Isukapalli and Gollapalli villages. Nandalur Market Committee chairman Suresh Raju, ZPTC Sivarama Raju, Nagireddypalli Sarpanch S Sivaprasad and others were present.
