Taking on the sand mafia leads to transfer of IAS officer Rohini
BENGALURU/HASSAN: On Friday, the IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri Dasari, had been transferred to an insignificant post before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. As he took on the powerful sand mafia.
The official statement which was given by the government was that, the Election Commission of India had, directed that all the transfers should be completed accordingly before the Lok Sabha polls.
Rohini has currently been posted a a secretary, Karnataka Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board in Bengaluru.
The tussle between the minister and the IAS officer had piled up and pressurized Siddaramaiah to transfer her.
Rohini later had approached the Central Administrative Tribunal, by saying, that she was eligible to render the post of Hassan DC for more two years according to the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Amendment Rules, 2014. Rohini had also alleged in her petition that, her transfer was due to “political pressure” from the local politicians who have exerted on Siddaramaiah by following her offensive behaviour against the mining mafia.
