School children given demo on Road Safety Robot

Hyderabad: A Road Safety Robot named “ROADEO” to create Traffic awareness was demonstrated to Additional Commissioner of Police (Hyderabad -Traffic) Anil Kumar Hyderabad by SP-Robotics company at Traffic Training Institute, Begumpet here on Thursday. 

This Robot has been prepared by 15 school children named Mohith, Akhilendran, Aaryan, Saharsh, Jaswanth, Vishnu, Jaidev, Navyahaas, Mouryan, Siddarth, Shiva, Maher, Shiva Manas, Kishore, Naishadh hailing from various Schools of Hyderabad.  They have been taught and trained about robotics by SP-Robotics a Chennai based Company. 

Anil Kumar, on witnessing the demonstration on the functioning of “Robot”, admired the kids and encouraged them by giving appreciation Certificates. He advised them to improve the functionalities of Robot to the real-time need of Traffic Police and try to make it cost effective.  The present cost of this robot is about Rs. 1 Lakh. 

The Additional Commissioner also suggested children to make Robot’s useful for security and defence purpose. 

The programme was attended by CEO & CTO of SP Robotics at Traffic Training Institute Begumpet.
