Cops spread traffic awareness in Chandrayangutta
Chandrayangutta: As part of 31st National Road Safety Week, the Hyderabad Traffic Police organised traffic awareness programme for citizens at RTO Bandlaguda under Chandrayangutta Constituency on Friday.
Chandrayangutta MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi attended the programme as a chief guest and addressed the gathering and urged the citizens of Chandrayangutta to follow to the traffic rules to ensure safety and traffic discipline on the roads.
Akbaruddin also requested the citizens to avoid driving vehicle without helmet, cell phone driving, signal jumping, wrong side driving, over speeding, triple driving and performing stunts, etc.and cautioned them to be careful and attentive while driving vehicles front or rear side of heavy vehicles. It may be mentioned here that, in a recent Road Safety Week programme, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Anil Kumar emphasised the citizens to get educated about the traffic norms. He informed that 1.5 lakh persons were killed in road accidents in India and 6,800 persons in Telangana State which was a great loss to the family and also to nation. "Most of the accidents resulted due to human errors which can be avoided if we follow Traffic Rules which are meant for our own safety," he stressed.
