Iam in my early 40’s and my periods are usually regular. But this month, my period came almost a week and a half early. Is it a sign of some trouble? How can this issue be solved?

Menstrual irregularities may be observed at this age as you may be entering the perimenopausal phase of your life whereby you may experience irregular cycles and sometimes early or delayed cycles may occur along with mood changes and hot flushes. 

However, it’s best you visit your gynaecologist to rule out other causes of irregular periods. You may also be advised to do a Pap smear, thyroid evaluation and an ultrasound of the pelvis to rule out other gynaecological causes.
