Update: 2018-07-17 05:30 IST

New Delhi: TDP MPs have decided to make a request at an all-party meeting to be held here on Tuesday to bring pressure on the Centre to deliver on the commitments made in the AP State Reorganisation Act.

Speaking to media-persons here on Monday, the MPs said that they would seek the support of all the parties other than BJP and the Congress to help them in their struggle.

They said they were hurt as the Centre did not react when TDP Rajya Sabha member C M Ramesh went on indefinite hunger strike demanding location of a steel factory in Kadapa district. “We have formed into six groups to meet leaders of Opposition parties to seek their support to the no-confidence motion against the BJP-led government at the Centre,” they said.

The MPs will impress upon the floor leaders attending the all-party meeting at 11 am in Delhi to seek their support. The TDP MPs met National Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Power and handed over a letter from Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to him.
