Constable ends life as 2 women colleagues harass him for marriage

Kolhapur: Unable to bear harassment by two women colleagues, a 42-year-old constable committed suicide by consuming poison. He died on Saturday.

It is learned that the constable had been in a relationship with the two who started harassing him for marriage.

"The trio had worked together from 2012 to 2014 at Gandhinagar police station and was later transferred to different places by the senior officials who had learned about their affair," a police officer working in Rajarampuri said.

The deceased wife also quoted in her complaint that her husband was in contact with the two police women who continuously forcing him for marriage.

The constable consumed poison on September 24 and was dead on Saturday.

The police registered a case and booked the women under the relevant sections of IPC.
