Believers lift St Patrick’s cup

Secunderabad: Girls from Believers showed the determination to go the extra mile while carving out a nail-biting 27-26 win over the equally gutsy players from Shooters to annex the Super Senior title in the sixth basketball summer coaching camp tournament conducted by St Patrick’s Basketball Academy at their school premises late Thursday night.

With over 300 campers turning up for the league-cum-knockout championship that was co-sponsored by Xcel Global Services and Great Sports Infra, competitions were divided into three categories separately for boys and girls including juniors (Under-10), seniors (Under-15) and super seniors (15 and above).

Later, prizes were distributed by Rev Fr KP Francis in the presence of Rev Fr Olongo, Rev Fr Naveen Xavier and coaches.
