Passports of 3586 pilgrims sent for Haj Visa processing
Hyderabad : The Telangana State Haj Committee has forwarded altogether 3,586 International Passports to Haj Committee of India (HCI), Mumbai for Visa Processing, announced TSHC Chairman Mohammed Masiullah Khan here on Wednesday.
The Chairman said that a quota of 4066 was allotted to Telangana State out of which 508 applicants were selected automatically under Reserve category of 70+ years and remaining pilgrims were selected through Qurrah (Draw of Lots).
Altogether 3,586 passports were submitted in the office of State Haj Committee, while 141 NRI pilgrims will submit their passports later, while 67 selected pilgrims have cancelled their seat.
It may be mentioned that 17,130 applicants have applied for Haj 2018. February 12 was the last date for payment of first installment of Rs. 81,000/- per head for the selected Haj pilgrims.
