Smoke from a bag in KCR's helicopter causes panic
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who is touring Adilabad, Peddapalli and Mancherial districts today sent the security into jitters after smoke emitted from a bag in the helicopter he was travelling in.
The incident took place when the Chief Minister was about to leave from a helipad in Karimnagar after attending an official programme.
Immediately responding, the security personnel managed to throw the bag away at 100 metres distance from the chopper.
According to the reports, the smoke erupted from a VHF communication set present in the bag due to a technical snag.
IT Minister KT Rama Rao has tweeted that KCR is doing well.
An inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the exact reason.
KCR’s tour is in continuation of Farmers Coordination Committee regional meetings in Hyderabad and Karimnagar held in the last two days. Apart from addressing the farmers and committee members, the Chief Minister also made a visit to the Chanaka Korata Barrage to review the status of the project works in Adilabad.
Later, he will be laying the foundation stone for underground mines in Macherial.
