Revanth to reveal details of grabbing of HMR properties
Hyderabad: Congress leader and MLA A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday said that he would reveal the details of properties being usurped on by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao by bringing pressure on the L&T Company, which has been executing the Metro Rail project in Hyderabad, on Wednesday, to the media.
Addressing the media, he said the Chief Minister and his son have been using the Metro Rail project to make money. He alleged that the extension of Metro Rail from Rayadurgam to International Air Port at Shamshabad has been proposed to get monitory benefits by the Chief Minister.
He said the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has written a letter in the past opposing the Metro Rail project during the combined State regime. According to the agreement being entered with the government, the GMR Group, which has constructed the International Air Port, should arrange transport.
Revanth alleged that extension of Metro Rail project is proposed to help Myhome Group and Praveen Rao, a relative of the Chief Minister. The extension is also meant to raise the prices of lands of the Chief Minister’s relatives.
The MLA said the State would become bankrupt with the looting of Chief Minister and his son. He said that the courts would be approached to inquire into the Metro Rail scam. A study being held in 2009 has found that Metro Rail up to International Air Port was not financially viable as it would serve only few people.
