Tourism Conclave from June 28
Hyderabad: The Federation of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI) in association with Telangana Tourism Department to host ‘Telangana Tourism Conclave’ from June 28 to 30, with an objective to provide platform discussions and meaningful interactions between tourism-related industry and stakeholders involved. The business-to-business eco-friendly conclave will be attended by national and international delegates, organisers said.
Announcing the conclave, B Venkatesam, Secretary to Tourism appreciated FTAPCCI for coming up with an idea to host a conclave with an aim to promote tourism in the State. He said, “Telangana is more cost-effective for medical and tour purposes. Hyderabad is like mini India, any north/south Indian can associate with the city. There is a pressing need for such conclaves, and we will extend our support in all possible ways.”
FTAPCCI president Gowra Srinivas stated that delegates from West Bengal, Delhi, Haryana and Andhra Pradesh will take part in the conclave. “MICE (Meeting, Incentives, Conference, Exhibitions) tourism, medical tourism will be conducted as part of the conclave. In case of medical tourism, complete details of hospitals and doctors would be provided to the delegates. “The tourism sector is playing a vital role in creating jobs. We are employing youth to develop tourism,” he said, informing that the event is a green event and the attendees need not to carry even their visiting cards.
“The delegates have to pre-register through a mobile application. The conclave will impart knowledge and skill to the delegates as there is a threat from cybercrimes. The tourism industry needs to be strong to avoid any cyber breaches,” said Harmandeep Singh, one of the organisers.
