Officials urged to redress people’s grievances

Kothagudem: District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu said every officer should give importance to various problems faced by the people and address their grievances in time. Attending a programme as part of Grievance Day here on Monday, the District Collector said Grievance Day was very important to the people, as it was an opportunity for them to meet the officers in a single platform and appealed to them to look into their problems and provide solutions as early as possible.

Every officer should take things seriously and help people solve the issues, he added.  He also reviewed the pending applications for the last few weeks and enquired about their status. He said every application should be uploaded online. People who submitted representations should be able to know the status of their applications online, he said.

The Collector discussed with the officials about the progress of the Rythu Bandhu scheme and also directed them to identify passbooks with wrong information and to rectify with immediate effect. He directed the Agriculture Officers to take the details of the survey of the Farmers’ Insurance Scheme. He also asked the Revenue officials to identify the government lands and strive to protect the lands in their respective mandals.  

The Collector discussed the State government’s flagship programme the Haritha Haram. He also suggested the officers how to conduct the programme of planting saplings this year. Recollecting the last year’s progress in Haritha Haram programme, the Collector explained the officials how they could make it a huge success in the district.

He directed every department to work with coordination while implementing the program in the district to make it a grand success this year too. He said more review programmes would be conducted on Haritha Haram with all departments soon. 

Earlier, the District Collector received applications from the aggrieved and endorsed them to the concerned officials for speedy redressal of their issues. Joint Collector M Ram Kishan, District Rural Development Agency Project Director P Jagath Kumar Reddy and other officers attended the programme.
