2BHK construction gathers pace

Karimnagar: The construction of double bedroom houses, the housing scheme of the State government, is going on at a quicker pace in Huzurabad of Karimnagar district, the constituency of Finance Minister Eatala Rajendar.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, in a recent meeting held at Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad, directed ministers, MLAs, district collectors, MPs and MLCs to speed up the construction works of 2BHK scheme before going to Assembly elections in 2019.

Kamalapur mandal Tahsildar Satyanarayana said the construction works of double bedroom houses are speed up in Huzurabad constituency under the supervision of Finance Minister E Rajendar.

Eight acres in Kamalapuram mandal and five acres in in Gudur mandal were handed over to R&B department and land acquisition in the remaining mandals in the constituency are progressing with the cooperation of local public representatives and locals, he informed.

R&B Divisional Engineer Krishna Reddy said the construction works of about 594 double bedroom houses, sanctioned for Huzurabad mandal, are going on and recently foundation stone was laid for the construction of about 372 houses for the beneficiaries of Ganesh Nagar and Sirsapalli village, out of the set target of 500 houses.

Huzurabad mandal Tahsildar Venkat Reddy said about 20 houses were allotted to Pothireddypet village, 65 to Bornapalli, Kothapalli and Tummanapalli villages, 36 to Eppalanarsinghapur village, 20 each to Peddapapaiahpalli, Rangapur and Kanukulagidde villages, 16 to Rampur and 25 to Shalapalli and Indiranagar colony.

Huzurabad Market Committee Chairman Adavalli Kondal Reddy said double bedroom housing project is unique, taken up by the State government unlike in any other State in the country, for fulfilling the dream of own house by poor people. The government is investing Rs 5.40 lakhs for construction of each double bedroom house in villages, that comes under city municipal panchayat.

Finance Minister Rajendar had allotted Rs 26.50 crores for the construction of 500 double bedroom houses under Jammikunta city municipal panchayat. 2.5 acres was identified for constructing 2BHK houses near Anjaneya Swamy temple in Jammikunta town and five acres near FCI.

Along with sanctioning of Rs 27.66 crores for constructing 549 houses under Jammikunta Rural. In 12 villages, the land acquisition works are in progress, informed Jammikunta Tahsildar Baosingh.

Veenavanka mandal Tahsildar Ravinder said the government had sanctioned Rs 9.32 lakhs for constructing about 185 houses in mandal headquarters and foundation stone was laid for the construction of 55 houses.

With the initiation by the Finance Minister, the government has allotted Rs 30.90 crores for the construction of 594 double bedroom houses in Huzurabad mandal, Rs 54.16 crores for constructing 1,049 houses, Rs 9.32 crores for constructing 185 houses.
