DRDA training programme for making clay idols begins
Nalgonda: A three-day workshop for making clay Ganesh idols began at DRDA Training and Technology Development Centre here on Monday. A total of 30 people from Kummari Shalivahana Community will be given training to make clay idols in an attractive manner.
District Collector Gaurav Uppal inaugurated the training camp. He emphasised the need to update skills from time to time to get good output with quality. He advised the people to celebrate the forthcoming Vinayaka Chavithi with clay idols.
District Backward Classes Welfare Officer Vimala promised to provide assistance and loans for the production of clay idols. Telangana Kummari Sanagam district unit president S Krishnaiah, State unit vice-president Edukondala Venkateshwarlu, political wing secretary R Krsishnaiah and Backward Classes Sangam district unit president Ch Ramaraju were present at the programme.
