Speed up developmental works

Karimnagar: District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmad ordered the officials of concerned department to speed up road widening works, construction of drainages and junctions at important places along with laying drinking water pipelines. He held a review meeting with the officials to discuss about various ongoing developmental works here at the Collector camp office on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said the developmental works, which are under progress will be completed within the time limit if the officials of various departments work in coordination. The officials were told to complete laying of drinking water pipeline works first and then roads must be laid. They were also ordered to speed up the construction works of drainages and culverts and complete them as early as possible.

New electric towers are constructed across the city and old electric poles should be replaced with new ones, which should be installed on road side only in order not to disturb the traffic.

Sarfaraz ordered the engineers to modernise the junctions along with constructing new ones where there is need. The officials were told to maintain standards in road laying works, along with widening of roads and construction of interlinking roads and repairing the roads where pits were formed due to recent rains.

City Municipal Commissioner Shashank, Transco Superintending Engineer Madhava Rao, R&B department Executive Engineer Raghava Chary and engineers of City Municipal Corporation participated in the meeting.
