Padma Devender slams Congress for supporting Jayaprakash Reddy
Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader Padma Devender Reddy came down heavily om Congress leader Jagga Reddy who was arrested in a human trafficking case and termed him ‘antinational’.Talking to press persons at Telangana Bhavan here on Tuesday, Padma slammed the Congress for staging protests and bandhs against the arrest of Jagga Reddy.
She alleged that the Congress was supporting a turncoat, who was noted for indulging in human trafficking. Padma denied the comments that the TRS leadership had deliberately got him arrested as it was afraid of defeat in the upcoming elections. The police had done their job and the government had nothing to do with it, she said adding that Jagga Reddy did not develop the segment and the people were against him. The TRS would win full mandate and get back to power, she hoped.
The Congress should be ashamed of conducting protests against Jagga Reddy’s arrest, she said. She sought to know why the Congress leaders staged protests instead of feeling shame. She wondered if Jagga Reddy had participated in Independence struggle. Jagga Reddy also cheated his own family members by doing such heinous acts, she said. It had become a practice for the Congress to support criminals like Jagga Reddy, a traitor, Padma said.
