Ex-deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy visits villages, seeks votes

Medak: Former Deputy Speaker of Telangana State Assembly Padma Devender Reddy asserted on Tuesday that if people ensure win of the ruling party in the ensuing election the state would be taken on higher path of development.

Speaking during campaigning in Narsingraopalli Thanda, Somala Thanda and Modalakunta and interacting with residents, Reddy expressed confidence that there would be no trace of drought if the Kaleshwaram project was completed.

She pointed out caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was working with the sole motive of ensuring people’s welfare. The Mission Bhagiratha scheme would ensure drinking water to every house, she said, while praising the Shadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi schemes as boon to the poor.

Reddy criticised the Congress and Telugu Desam parties for failing to take up any worthwhile development during the last 60 years when they were in power. Among those who accompanied her were MPP Pavitra Durgayya, vice-MPP Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Edupayala Devasthanam chairman Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, leaders Durgayya, Bala Goud, Gurumurthy Goud, Baba Goud, Sai Reddy, Ravindra Naik.
