Demand permanent closure of school; death to rapist
Necklace road: Representatives of several organisations, including Child Rights Sangham, Parents’ Association, Janani Foundation, M V Foundation, Children’s Sports Foundation, SFI, held a silent demonstration here on Tuesday to protest against the rape of a UKG student of Azan International School. They demanded permanent closure of the school and death to the rapist.
The protestors decried the incident and said that crimes against children were inhuman. They criticised the Education Department for failing to prevent such incidents.
They wanted students of the school to be transferred to other institutions, according to Achuta Rao, honorary president, Children’s Rights Sangham.
