Vaddera community demands inclusion in ST category
Musheerabad: All India Vaddera Welfare society organised a meeting here at Sundraiah Vignana Kendram on Friday and demanded all the political parties that their community be included in ST category and this demand be included in the respective manifestos of political parties.
Speaking on the occasion, the society’s national president Vemula Laxman said that all the political parties of two Telugu states should make a resolution in this regard. Further, he demanded that Vaddera Federation be granted a budget of Rs 500 crore. Also, every vaddera society should be granted a loan of Rs 50 lakh without any bank consent.
Enlisting various demands of vadderas, he said that 10 acres of land should be given for construction of Vaddera Bhavan and Rs 10 crores be allotted for the work. Vaddera society should get 50 per cent reservation in mining, he added. Among those participated in the programme include working president G Venkatanarayana, Saikrishna, Srinivas, Narsimha, Ramesh and Venkatesh.
